Alhaji Abubakar Kusada, APC member representing Kankia, Kusada and Ingawa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has donated motorcycles and walkie-talkies to fight insecurity in his constituency.
The Lawmaker’s Aide, Alhaji Bala Sani, confirmed the donation of the items to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Kusada Local Government Area of Katsina State.
According to him, the motorcycles are much smaller and can go to places that are not easily accessible to patrol vehicles to improve community relations and enhance security.
“Motorcycle patrols can be integrated into other operations and initiatives, targeted enforcement and surveillance,” he said.
Sani identified the beneficiaries of the equipment as police stations, vigilante groups, commercial motorcyclist groups and women public enlightenment groups in each of the three local government areas in the constituency.
Alhaji Abdulhamid Doranya, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman in Kusada Local Government Area, lauded the lawmaker’s efforts, describing it as a welcome development to end insecurity in the state.
He urged the constituents to continue to pray for the APC-led government in the country.
One of the beneficiaries, Malam Aminu Lawal, commended the donor’s efforts and promised that the people would continue to work tirelessly to enhance security in the area.
