Kumo Launches Historic Empowerment Programme, Distributes Motorcycles, Fertilizer, Sewing Machines

In a groundbreaking initiative, the Deputy National Financial Secretary and Member of the APC National Working Committee, Hon. Dattuwa Ali Kumo (Sarkin Tafarkin Akko), has launched a comprehensive empowerment programme aimed at improving the lives of the people of Gombe State.
The programme, described as a first of its kind by stakeholders, focused on transportation, agriculture, and skill acquisition to foster economic growth and self-reliance.
The event, held at APC Square, witnessed the distribution of 60 motorcycles, 800 bags of fertilizer, and 100 sewing machines to beneficiaries drawn from Akko and Gombe local government areas.
The beneficiaries included local government party chairmen, Ward party chairmen, youth leaders, and women leaders, all of whom expressed gratitude for the life-changing initiative.
Speaking at the event, Alhaji Abubakar Inuwa Kari, Chief of Staff at the Gombe Government House, who chaired the ceremony, commended Hon. Kumo for his dedication to community development.
He described the initiative as a demonstration of Kumo’s unwavering commitment to improving livelihoods and aligning with Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s vision of delivering dividends of democracy to party members and citizens alike.
The APC State Chairman, Hon. Nitte Amangal, represented by Alhaji Baba Bula, hailed the initiative as a historic milestone for the party.
He praised Hon. Kumo for being the first individual, without an elected position, to achieve such a feat as a representative of the state in the National Working Committee.
In his remarks, Hon. Danladi Adamu, Chairman of Akko Local Government, described Hon. Kumo as a kind-hearted and highly respected leader, congratulating the beneficiaries and praying for Allah’s blessings upon Kumo’s endeavors.
Similarly, the APC Chairman for Akko LGA acknowledged the unmatched generosity of Hon. Kumo, describing the initiative as a gesture only Allah could truly reward.
Among other dignitaries present at the event were Hon. Muhammad Sa’idu Fawu, Commissioner of Water Resources, Environment, and Forest Resources; Hon. Sunusi Ahmed Maidala, Commissioner of Energy and Solid Minerals; Hon. Shehu Yerima Abdullahi, Commissioner for Special Duties.
Others included Chairmen of Akko and Gombe Local Governments, APC State EXCO members, Ward Party Chairmen, and various youth and women leaders.
This empowerment programme, focusing on critical areas such as transportation, agriculture, and vocational skills, underscores Hon. Kumo’s commitment to addressing the needs of the people while driving broader economic growth.
