Following the huge uncollected outstanding electricity bills in Kano franchise, the Management of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO), has called on its numerous customers to support the company by paying their outstanding as well as current bills in full.
According to the Management, regular payment of bills as well as settling outstanding bills will benefit the customers more as it will give KEDCO more resources to implement all good initiatives, while sustaining existing ones in the interest of the development of the power sector.
As a company, we depend on the revenue we make to meet our own obligations to relevant stakeholders. The huge outstanding bills when settled will further empower KEDCO to satisfy its customers.
While we have continued to provide sustained and improved supply as well as better service delivery which we have pledged to sustain, it is only good for customers to reciprocate same gestures by paying full bills and settling outstanding bills.
In his message, Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, KEDCO explained: “our customers are the overall beneficiary of any investment in the power distribution sub-sector as far as KEDCO is concerned and as major stakeholder, we appeal to them to pay up their bills so that such investments can be taken to another level of development for customers satisfaction.
