The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Interior, who doubles as the lawmaker representing the Musawa/ Matazu federal constituency, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmed, has successfully secured 175 permanent and pensionable federal jobs for individuals across the constituency.
The beneficiaries have been recruited into various government agencies, including the Federal Fire Service (42), Nigeria Immigration Service (18), Nigeria Police Force and Nigeria Army (over 100), and Federal Teaching Hospitals and Medical Centres (15).
Speaking at the presentation of appointment letters to some of the new employees, Hon. Ahmed reaffirmed his commitment to reducing unemployment and poverty in the region.
He emphasised that the employment drive was purely a humanitarian effort and not politically motivated, stressing his dedication to ensuring that graduates from the constituency secure stable employment or benefit from skills acquisition programs.
“This initiative is designed to provide meaningful opportunities for young people to enter the workforce and contribute to the country’s economy,” Ahmed stated.
A statement issued by his special assistant on media, Sardauna Francis, congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to approach their new roles with dedication and professionalism, emphasizing the importance of effective service delivery in their respective positions.
