Alhaji Mannir Yakubu, the deputy governor of Katsina State, has tasked Nigerian youths on the need to contribute their quota toward nation-building.
Yakubu stated this when he received the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Dayo Abdullahi on Wednesday in Katsina.
Yakubu said that youths were the backbone of every nation, hence for the need for their contribution for the development of the society.
He enjoined youths to join hands with the government in the fight against security challenges bedeviling the country.
“Leadership is a trust, hence your sacrifice and contribution to development is necessary,” the deputy governor said.
Earlier, Abdullahi said that the visit was aimed at assessing the performance of the APC led administration in the state.
Dayo commiserated with the government and people over recurring banditry in the state and tasked security agencies to intensify efforts at ending the menace in the state.
