Acting Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Jerry Adam, Kaduna Inland Revenue Service (KADIRS), has set strong desire to people to support the state government through tax payment in the state.
The agenda stands for Safety and Security, Upgrade of Infrastructure, Strengthening Institutions, Trade and Investment, Agriculture, Investment in Human Capital and Nurturing Citizens Engagement.
Adams made the call in Kaduna during a ground breaking ceremony for the construction of blocks of toilets for Mosque by an NGO, the Abdulmumini Aminu Zaria Foundation at the headquarters of KADIRS.
Adams also said that for the state government to achieve the SUSTAIN agenda, corporate organisations operating in the state must redouble their efforts towards tax payment and remittances.
“Gov. Uba Sani, being an embodiment of the renewed hope agenda of President Tinubu through his SUSTAIN agenda initiative, has demonstrated in his first 100 days in office indelible historical development of Kaduna State.”
The acting executive chairman, therefore, said the achievements were a call for the need for citizens in the state to pray and support Uba Sani’s quest to take the state to the next level of socioeconomic and political prosperity.
He enjoined the people of the state to pray for Uba Sani to succeed in his renewed SUSTAIN Agenda.
He thanked the Foundation for supporting the mosque in the KADIRS headquarters with toilets, noting that it would go a long way in enhancing hygiene practices.
The Coordinator of the Aminu Zaria Foundation, Alhaji Abubakar Yerima, expressed satisfaction over the laudable transformation drive embarked upon by the acting executive chairman of KADIRS.
He appealed to Gov. Uba Sani to confirm his appointment as the executive chairman, considering his tireless and selfless service to the state and humanity.
On construction of the blocks of toilets, Yerima said the project was out of its corporate social responsibilities which the foundation was known for over the years.
He explained that the idea was conceived by the Acting Executive Chairman, with a view to providing a healthy environment for Muslims to observe their daily prayers with ease.
He added that the project, when completed, would allow workers of the Islamic faith in KADIRS to attend their daily supplication with ease and convenience.
Yerima described the KADIRS acting boss as a patriotic and detribalised citizen who did not segregate nor discriminate along ethnic and religious lines.
He pointed out that as a Christian, he took the bold decision towards the construction of the toilets for the Mosque, situated at the headquarters of the organisation with vigour, hence the need for others to emulate.
Newsmen reports that the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the projects, was witnessed by top government officials as well as the Muslim ummah.
