The Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board says it is set to refund money deposited with the board by the 2021 Intending Pilgrims from the state.
The Acting Overseer, Hajiya Hannatu Zailani, gave this indication in a statement issued by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Salisu Anchau, in Kaduna on Monday.
According to Zailani, the refund is for pilgrims who show their interest to withdraw their money.
”The refund is as a result of the cancellation of the 2021 hajj exercise for foreign nationals by Saudi Authorities.
The Overseer further said that over 3,900 Intending Pilgrims deposited their Hajj fares with the board.
She explained that those who intend to roll over their deposit to 2022 Hajj exercise could preserve their deposits with the board and would have the first priority advantage during the registration.
Zailani advised the Intending Pilgrims willing to withdraw their deposits to forward their application for the refund to the overseer of the board and attach original receipt of payment.
“The refund can be submitted directly to the registration officers from 23 Local Government Areas of the State where the tellers were issued.
Zailani advised that Intending Pilgrims, particularly those seeking refund, might take advantage of the new Jaiz Hajj Saving Scheme introduced by National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON.
She explained that the scheme allows savings for Hajj at convenient and long period of time.
Zailani further urged Intending Pilgrims to keep their COVID-19 card safe for future use.
