The Director General of Kaduna Geographic Information services (KADGIS), Mrs Altine Jibril, has said kaduna State is moving from analogue to digital in land administration.
The Director General of KADGIS, asserted this while receiving officials of the Nigeria Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, (NIESV) who were on courtesy visit to her office yesterday.
She said, the decision of KADGIS to transform the land administration in the state has brought significant changes in the system.
While commending members of NIESV in the state for being partners in progress with KADGIS, the Director General said:” KADGIS is in a transitional stage and we are pleading with customers to bear with any problems the are currently going through. They are minimal.”
She promised that all areas of improvements suggested by the Institute would be carefully studied and there will be a continual engagement with them.
Earlier, the State Chairman of NIESV, ESV. Olubunmi Ogundiya, commended Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El Rufai, and management team of KADGIS for the transformation in land administration in the state .
ESV. Ogundiya, however, said there is need to consider the time frame for completion of documentations, explaining that some takes between one to two years.
He also opined that hence the need to breach the communications gap between KADGIS and customers, saying that should be improved upon.
Ogundiya said the Institute is willing to organize update trainings to staff of KADGIS to improve their productivity.
