The Zamfara state government has ordered the immediate closure of schools bordering Katsina and Sokoto states as revealed by TVC News.
The government however assures parents of the security of their wards in Gusau, the state capital.
This was coming after the kidnap of about 333 boys at a government school at Kankara in Katsina State over the weekend. The attack was suspected to have been carried out by bandits.
In another news, Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for the attack earlier. It was also gathered from the Katsina State government that about 17 of the missing students who ran into the bush for hiding had returned.
