The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Gubernatorial Campaign Directorate in Jigawa state has condemned the pulling down of it’s flags and billboards of its candidates by APC thugs in Hadejia.
In a statement on. Sunday, the Deputy Director, Media and Publicity, Santuraki Campaign Directorate,(SCD), Umar Kyari Jitau Madamuwa states that, the APC has exhibited a negative political behaviour which can only be equated to the “DARK AGE POLITICS OF THE SIXTEENTH CENTURY” which has been conquered long long ago by patriotic Nigerians.
He added, “We want remind APC and it’s leadership in the state that, the recent peace accord signed by political parties and their presidential candidates in Abuja which they also attended is binding on all parties and their members.
“APC in Jigawa State from the realities on the ground has lost all hopes and the reason why it is finding difficult to commence writing it’s handing over note.
“The successful outing of our presidential candidate, Alh. Atiku Abubakar and our Gubernatorial candidate, Alh. Mustapha Sule Lamido during their recent visit to Hadejia has confirmed the PDP’s preparedness to take over Jigawa State in 2023.
“We are appealing to our teeming supporters to remain calm and law abiding as all necessary measures are being taken avoid the repeat of the negative act and we are also calling on the VERY NEGLIGIBLE FEW DECENT leaders in APC to preach peace and good manners to their members to ensure successful/peaceful HANDING and TAKING OVER ceremony in the state”.
It could be recalled that, the PDP Presidential candidate has visited Hadejia and donated N50 million to flood victims and commiserated with the people over the destruction, loss of lives and properties brought by the flood.
