The renowned philanthropist and politician, Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, has expressed his sympathy to the people of Gombe state over the devastating flood caused by a heavy downpour in the early hours of today.
The rain which lasted for hours has reportedly killed two lives at the Idi area of the state and washed away some major roads and culverts state while houses and property were also destroyed.
In a statement signed by his aide, Sani Abubakar and made available to journalists, Gwamna has said that, “I sympathize with the people of Gombe over the devastating flood which wrecked havoc in some part of the state due to the heavy downpour in the early hours of today.
“I feel and share the pain of those who have lost their loved ones, houses and property and I pray to Allah to forgive the souls of the departed and ease their sufferings of the other affected victims.”
He also seeks Allah’s protection against natural tragedies.
