No fewer than 179 Imams alongside District Heads among others traditional rulers in Jahun Local Government Area (LGA) have received Goodwill Sallah gift from the Council Chairman, Honourable Jamilu Muhammad Danmalam.
Danmalam said this gesture was “part of our commitment to render support, and better the lots of the less privileged in society, especially the needy and people with special needs, and the elderly.
According to the chairman, the distribution of Sallah gifts is part of his administration’s efforts to promote unity and harmony among the people of Jahun Local Government.
He also expressed his appreciation to the Imams and district heads for their support and cooperation.
One of the Imams, Mallam Yahuza Gabari, praised the chairman for his kindness and generosity, saying that he is the first chairman to show such concern for the welfare of Imams and district heads in Jahun Local Government.
The distributed gifts includes clothes and cash donations to all the beneficiaries in a colorful occasion attended by local government officials, traditional rulers, and politicians.
The chairman affirmed his administration’s commitment to continue to render support to the less privileged in society, including people with disabilities, orphans, and the elderly.
