Chief Letep Dabang, Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC), Plateau chapter, has urged Nigerians to use the occassion of the nation’s 60th Independence anniversary to continue to spread love and unity.
Dabang in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Thursday in Jos urged citizens to uphold and sustain the values that bind us together as one nation which are patience, love and equity.
The chairman celebrated the bravery of the nation’s founding fathers and their gift of freedom.
“It is a day to celebrate 60 years of liberation, unity, progress and peace as a nation.
“We may not be where we want to be as a nation, but we must count our blessings, celebrate and appreciate God for bringing us thus far.
“I heartily celebrate our founding fathers who shed their blood and fought tirelessly for the freedom of our great nation,” he said.
He congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari, Gov. Simon Lalong, members of the National and State Assemblies and the APC family on the occasion of independence day celebration.
