In similar development, Hon. Gara had written a letter to the Herwaga ward Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) notifying him of his intention to join the party.
“I write to notify you of my interest to register for the membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
“My decision to join the PDP followed after careful study on how the party is concerned about strengthening democracy, providing good governance and carrying its members along by ensuring equal opportunity is provided for its members irrespective of social and economic class.
“I am fully prepared to register as a member today being 2th March, 2021. The letter reads.
When contacted by our reporter, Gara said he decamped to PDP from APC because his former party lacks credible leadership at all levels and injustice has taken the centre stage of the party and people of Gombe state are tired of the way and manner in which the state is being run by the APC led government.
Gara had contested the 2018 state house of assembly primary election for the Gombe North constituency and lost to his current member representing the constituency in the state assembly, Hon. Ali Baba Manu.
