Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kaduna state Command, has honoured the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna state Council, Comrade Asma’u Yawo Halilu, among others.
The award, according to the FRSC sheriff, it was a recognition of exemplary leadership by the Union leader in piloting the affairs of the Union for nation building.
The state Command awarded twelve people on Monday in Kaduna during the flag-off of the ‘Ember Months Campaigns’, with a large number of stakeholders in attendance.
The FRSC boss, Kabir Yusuf Nadabo, however, explained that the number one journalist in the state deserved to be honoured, just as he further said that the FRSC is proud of her leadership style.
Equally, the state Command of the FRSC has also honoured the best female Tanker driver, Hajia Rabiatu Abubakar Dangoke for her good driving habit.
The FRSC boss declared that, Hajia Dangoke has been in the business of driving Tanker and Trailer in the last 20 years without any crash.
Among other awardees are media gurus from various media organisations; and NURTW members were also awarded.
In their seperate remarks, the awardees were appreciative of the honour, saying that the recognition of excellence by the FRSC will spur them to do more in their various capacities in the interest of the nation.
