There was pandemonium on Wednesday in Bauchi state capital when a house filled with guns and bullets suspected to have been stored by criminals was discovered.
The house is located at Unguwar Mahaukata quarters in the Bauchi metropolis.
Information from the Bauchi government house revealed that the house which was discovered following a tip off was ordered to be demolished by the governor Bala Mohammed.
According to them, the house has been destructed by large number of security agents.
Our correspondent gathered that over 200 rounds of ammunition, other weapons were discovered in the four-bedrooms building located in unguwar Mahaukata within Bauchi metropolis.
Bauchi state police spokesperson Ahmed Wakili Thursday confirmed the discovery of the weapons in the area to newsmen.
It will be recalled that in recent time, there were cases of kidnappings and killings in the state by yet to be identified gunmen.
Governor Bala Mohammed’s elder brother was sometime abducted in the state capital, and the state auditor general was few weeks ago shot even as a member of the state house of assembly from Dass local government was killed by unknown gunmen.
This incident is happening at a time many north western states grapple with the problem of bandits who persistedly attack towns and villages with impunity.
