HEEBA Foundation Brings Hope to Flood-affected Communities in Maiduguri
In response to the devastating floods that recently ravaged Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, Heeba Foundation, a renowned humanitarian organization, has extended a lifeline worth million of Naira in aid to affected individuals.
Barrister Fatima Binta Abdu, Founder and Coordinator of the Heeba Foundation, presented millions of Naira and other essential commodities to the affected communities during a ceremony on Saturday.
Distributing the intervention to ensure it gets to deserved and wide beneficiaries, the foundation directed Access Bank to print Debit cards loaded with N100,000 each which was given to 100 people at the ceremony to withdraw cash by themselves.
Also, the remaining money was transferred to different accounts of the affected people while hot meals, bread, packaged water, mosquito nets and medication were distributed to the people in the camps.
