Group under the umbrella of Ihifix Technologies Limited has trained no fewer than 149 teachers on digital technology for easy teaching.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of company, Emmanuel Adikpe disclosed that the aim of the training is to make education affordable for poor masses, through the use of digital tools.
Adikpe made the assertion during the opening ceremony of the training in kaduna on Thursday.
Speaking on the need for the training, he said: “teachers were out of work during the COVID-19 period because they could not transform from the analogue teaching method to digital, but the training will prepare them ahead of any occurrence capable of stopping curricula activities.”
According to him, the participants received training on use of Gsuite, Google classrooms among others to facilitate distance teaching and learning,.
while also explaining that the training will make teaching and learning seamless, and affordable to the public.
Adikpe declared that the training will also bridge the gap and prepare the participants for the digital age.
“We have over 149 schools from northeast, northwest and Benue state that attend the training. And as a digital company, we have put them on lots of platforms for free. For instance Gsuit education is free. They will be thought on how to communicate with students, mark classworks and assignment, using digital technology. ” Adikpe explained.
