Governor Namadi Assents 2025 Jigawa Budget Into Law

Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has signed the state’s N698.3 billion 2025 budget into law with the 76 percent of the estimates going for Capital Expenditure.
The signing ceremony was held at the Jigawa State Government House, Dutse on Tuesday 31st December, 2024.
Governor Namadi said the budget aimed to develop Jigawa State’s infrastructure and human capital development.
He said “this year’s budget of N698.3 billion is highest budget in the history of Jigawa State which aimed to restructure the state into greater state.”
Namadi thanked the state House of assembly for speedy passage of the budget as well as ministries, departments and agencies for the technical expertise of the budget process.
To the members of the state council chamber, Namadi prays them for their immense contributions towards ensuring that the budget meet the reality and assured.
He then urged the MDAs, technical officers and others saddled with responsibilities in implementation of the budget to avoid corruption and be accountable to their activities and quickly discharge their duties as stipulated in the budget law.
The State House of Assembly passed the 2025 Appropriation Bill on Monday, 30 December, 2024 and also approved N184.4 billion as the 2025 budget for the 27 local government councils in the state.
