Governor Mutfwang Presents 2025 Budget of N471bn to Plateau House of Assembly

Governor Caleb Mutfwang has presented a budget N471,134,093,541.00, to the Plateau State House of Assembly for the 2025 fiscal year.
Governor Mutfwang presented the budget in Jos on Monday.
The budget comprises a recurrent component of N201,522,433,264.00, which accounts for 43 percent of the total allocation, and a capital budget estimated at N268,611,660,277.00, representing 57 percent of the overall budget.
The proposed budget marks an increase of N156,278,944,988.00 over the approved budget for 2024.
The Governor emphasized that the budget reflects the state government’s unwavering commitment to fostering peace and prosperity in Plateau State, highlighting the importance of building on the solid foundation that has been established.
Mutfwang expressed government’s desire to consolidate past achievements while reigniting their vision for transforming and revitalizing the state through various projects and programs across all sectors of the economy.
He acknowledged the numerous challenges faced in recent years, particularly in terms of insecurity and economic downturns, pledging that the government will collaborate closely with security agencies and the citizens of Plateau to address these pressing issues.
This 2025 budget, which Mutfwang described as one of consolidation and sustainability, illustrates the government’s dedication to reinforcing previous successes and ensuring the continued growth and development of Plateau State.
The Speaker of the state assembly Gabriel Kudangbena Dewan, promised that the assembly will do justice to the Appropriation Bill.
