For the first time in the history, we have a State Executive Governor who listens directly to his people, there is no doubt Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has proven to be the best Governor of Kebbi State. Almost all the economic potentials of Kebbi has been unlocked particularly in the area of Agriculture and Youth Empowerments. Many entrepreneurs have been produced via capacity building, knowledge sharing, and funding through the multitudes of initiatives championed by our dear Governor.
Today, we have a Governor who attends every Youth engagement without levity and listens to them regardless of whether he is been praised or criticized. The agenda of Kebbi State is all that he prioritizes.
Governor Bagudu’s kinetic energy and zeal for development is unequalled amongst his contemporaries, he is always available to put a smile on the face
of his people. He is humble to both rural and urban masses alike and always attends to their problem with great enthusiasm.
He has responded to our call to create a new revenue administration and collection which a Bill before the State Assembly for consideration. If enacted, this will create more Internally Generated Revenue to the state and massive employment. We are optimistic that the new revenue collection will include lands and housing registrations, renewal of ground rents, land certifications.
The number of trucks loading and passing through Kebbi will create more IGR to the State if captured well. It is also expected that State will have new commodity market to control the Administration of Agribusiness in the state.
With the influxes of multinational companies in Kebbi such as GB Foods, Dangote Group, Wacot and many others, it has created avenues for many entrepreneurs to come to Kebbi. This has elevated us in the global market and our name and that of our Governor’s approval rating is rising. We must support the laudable projects in the area of education, health, rural roads, and urban transformations of our major cities in the state.
The tertiary institutions in the state have been upgraded and renovated. Many rural roads have been constructed in several towns across the state. Markets have been constructed in Jega, Koko, Ambursa, Argungu among others.
The State Television and Radio has been renovated and upgraded.
Youth are being appointed into the State Executive Council, others are appointed in various positions and committees to support the government in achieving its mandate this is the first time in Kebbi. All the political actors in Kebbi are now harmonized in one family as a result of Governor Bagudu’s achievements and his diplomatic experience in bringing people together to achieve a common goal of peace in Kebbi.
On the national scene, he is not only the Chairman of Progressive Governor’s Forum but also a key player in every reconciliation and economic programme of the Federal Government. We are indeed proud of him, he has always represented us well. Every well-meaning citizen and resident of Kebbi State must appreciate Governor Bagudu. We must shun sentiments and join hands together in a bid to support Governor Bagudu because he is a visionary leader. With the direction of his giant stride initiatives, Kebbi will continue to progress.
