Since assuming office, he has exemplified a rare blend of vision, dedication, and empathy, making Sokoto State a beacon of progress in Northern Nigeria. Therefore, this birthday offers a unique opportunity to thank Almighty Allah for His guidance in Ahmed Aliyu’s leadership and to pray for continued blessings upon his life and governance.
The Administration of Governor Ahmed Aliyu has been defined by a clear vision to uplift Sokoto State and its people. From day one, his agenda was anchored on addressing key issues such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and youth empowerment. One of his administration’s flagship achievements is the significant improvement in Sokoto’s education sector. Governor Aliyu prioritised rebuilding schools, providing teaching materials, and ensuring teacher training programmes were effectively implemented. This was a crisis that deferred 8 years of the previous government, but Governor Ahmed Aliyu was able to end it few months into his mandate.
Governor Ahmed Aliyu understands that the youth are the backbone of any thriving society. To this end, his administration has rolled out numerous empowerment programmes aimed at equipping young people with the skills and resources they need to succeed. Vocational training centers have been established, and thousands of youths have been empowered through skill acquisition and entrepreneurship programs.
