Governor Namadi Assures NEXIM Bank of Support, Patronage Towards Boosting Export Banking Transactions

Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has assured NEXIM Bank of government’s support and patronage towards boosting its Export Banking transactions aimed at fostering the nation’s sustainable economic growth.
Speaking while declaring a one-day NEXIM Exporter Enlightenment Forum in Gumel, the Governor stressed his administration’s efforts in reviving the Maigatari Export Processing Zone.
He said the revival of the processing zone will further deepen the state’s export capacity apart from boosting the production of exportable agricultural produce such as hibiscus, sesame, groundnuts and gum Arabic among others.
He called on NEXIM Bank to extend its Nigerian Export/Import Banking business to the downtrodden through advocacy campaign on importance of banking transactions and its impact on community development.
Governor Namadi assured NEXIM among other bank’s operations in state of continued support and patronage at all times.
Earlier the Managing Director of the bank, Alhaji Abba Bello has assured participants of the bank’s full support in empowering exporters, who will lay a pivotal role in driving the nation’s economic diversification and development.
Bello called on the participants to take full advantage of the opportunities presented, expecting them to engage actively, network with peers and seek support and guidance available.
