Governor Bello Mohammed of Zamfara State has commisserated with the victims of Monday night Kaduna train attack, who included the former Deputy Governor of the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Wakkala Liman.
The commisseration is contained in a statement by the governor’s Special Adviser, Public Enlightenment, Media and Communications, Zailani Bappa.
Governor Matawalle said the incident was another onslaught on Nigerian’s collective existence as peace loving people and also a threat to meaningful social existence.
“I was saddened when the news came to me that one of the safest means to travel is being compromised,” aggrieved Gov. Matawalle said, adding, “It is a condemnable act and must be considered as a declaration of war on our people.”
Gov. Matawalle assured: “This time, more than ever before, we shall concentrate on building a better synergy to holistically address the increasing threat by bandits and insurgents.”
He said: “I wish to commisserate with the Kaduna State Government, the families of those who lost their lives,” as he called for a fast rescue by security operatives of those abducted and prayed for the quick recovery of those who were injured in the attack.
