The Adamawa State Government has purchased 31 additional mass transit buses to reduce transportation challenges in the state, the commissioner for information Miss Neido Kufulto disclosed.
In an interview with the newsmen in Yola on Monday, Kufulto expressed that this was part of efforts of the administration of Gov Ahmadu Fintiri to ease the transportation challenges of the people.
“We are fully determined and committed to alleviating the sufferings occassioned by the removal of pettoleum subsidy, ” she said.
The commissioner said that the vehicles were purchased from Innoson Nigeria Ltd , an indigenous motor manufacturing company, as part of government’s resolve to promote patronage of local content.
“We had earlier acquired 10 units of the vehicle, which are already shuttling within the metropolis at afffordable transport charges,” she added.
Kufulto assured that the administration was committed to modernizing the transport sector in the state as in developed climes.
