Gov Bala Appoints Shira As New Bauchi Radio Corporation MD

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has appointed Mal. Umar Mohammed Shira as the new Managing Director of the Bauchi Radio Corporation.
This was contained in a statement signed and made available to newsmen, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.
The statement said the decision reflects the governor’s confidence in the leadership capabilities, vast experience, and dedication of Umar Mohammed Shira in the Media and Communications sector.
” As a seasoned professional with a proven track record in Media Management and Broadcasting, Umar Shira is well equipped to reposition the state-owned Radio station ( BRC ) for greater efficiency, mobilieation, and influencing the general public on the policies of government in the best interest of the state,” the statement said.
The Governor expressed confidence and hope that the new MD would leverage his wealth of experience to enhance the corporation’s role as a credible source of information, education and entertainment for the people of the state, and beyond.
He called on the staff and other stakeholders of the corporation to support the new helmsman to achieve his mandate to improve the station’s operations and service delivery.
The statement which announced that the appointment is with immediate effect, congratulated the new MD for his well deserved appointment.
