The Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has commended the staff of Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Sokoto Zonal Office, for their hard work, resilience and good services to viewers.
Bagudu was also appreciative of the effort of the of Africa’s biggest television network in educating, enlightening and entertaining Nigerians through its series of programs aimed at sustaining the unity of the country.
The governor made the commendation in Sokoto on Tuesday while interacting with staff and management of Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Sokoto Zonal office before he featured in the popular NTA Tuesday Live program which was anchored at the station in Sokoto.
Receiving the governor with her management staff, the Zonal Director of the station, Hajiya Saudat Suleiman, expressed hapiness over the governor’s visit, saying: “this is the first time we received a serving governor in the station.
The Zonal Director described governor Bagudu’s visit to Sokoto NTA as historic.
While narrating some of the challenges being faced by the station in Sokoto, the Zonal Director informed the governor that the station would soon start operating in full capacity.
” Very soon, we hope to go on full capacity service for 24 hours. One of our major problem is electricity, but it will soon be a thing of the past with improved electricity supply underway “,she said.
Mrs. Suleiman and the management team of the station pledged to continue to accord top priority to news reports coming from their station in Kebbi State.
The excited NTA Sokoto top management staff introduced themselves in turn and also applauded the governor for his robust agricultural programs and policies especially the success recorded in rice farming in the state.
