Gombe Varsity Appoints Professor Yauta Acting VC

The Governing Council of Gombe State University (GSU) has appointed Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta (DVC academics) as Acting Vice Chancellor of the University.
This has followed expiration of Professor El-nafaty’s tenure and process of appointing substantive VC is yet to be concluded.
The appointment of Professor Yauta could not come at a better time than now as his wealth of experience both in theory and practice can fastrack growth, development and restore confidence among the aggrieved parties within and outside the University.
He served as a HOD, Dean, Head of Committees, two times Deputy Provost (COE, Billiri) and currently serving his second term as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) in GSU.
A Professor of Higher Education and Financing, his youthful age and networks are additional qualities that can help in being proactive in the decision making process.
