Gombe Teaching Hospital’s Board Chair Promises Improved Healthcare Services

The newly appointed chairperson Governing Board of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe, Zainab Abubakar Ibrahim, has promised that the hospital will improve its services and the wellbeing of its patients.
She made the promise on Thursday when she paid a familiarisation visit to the hospital, marking her first official engagement since her appointment by President Bola Tinubu.
Zainab who hails from Jalingo, Taraba State expressed her commitment to enhancing healthcare services in the hospital and sought the cooperation of the management of the facility.
The governing board chairperson acknowledged the critical role of the institution in providing quality medical services, training, and research to Nigerians, reiterating her determination to ensuring that the hospital continues to operate at optimal capacity.
The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the hospital, Dr Yusuf Muhammad Abdullahi, welcomed the new board chairperson and assured of the management’s cooperation.
He provided a comprehensive overview of the hospital’s operations, outlining its core functions in medical service delivery, training of healthcare professionals, and research advancements.
