Senator Muhammad Danjuma Goje has on Wednesday flagged off the construction of 12 housing units in 3 hospitals and a girls secondary school in his Gombe Central Senatorial District.
The project, which will be executed by the senator in collaboration with the Northeast Development Commission (NEDC) include the construction of four housing units each at General Hospital Pindiga, Cottage Hospital Tumu, and Government Girls Science Secondary School Kumo all in Akko local government area.
Speaking at the ground breaking ceremony, Senator Goje said the project is aimed at addressing housing deficit in the Institutions.
Represented by his aide, Adamu Muhammad Manga, Sen. Goje said “housing doctors and nurses within the hospital premises would enable them provide regular services to the people and respond promptly to emergencies.”
He assured that the project would be given maximum attention to ensure its early completion so as to enable the staff have a conducive apartment for an effective service delivery.
Speaking, a community leader, Alhaji Muhammadu Buba expressed gratitude to the lawmaker for his various interventions in the area and assured that members of the community will continue expressing support him in his political sojourn.
