Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State has expressed optimism that the party will reclaim the state by defeating incumbent Governor Inuwa Yahaya in 2023.
This assuarances was given by former Governor and leader of the party in the state, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo in a meeting with Chairmen of the party from the 11 local government areas of the state in his Abuja residence.
Dankwambo who is the party leader in the state has further noted that Inuwa Yahaya and his party, APC came into power in 2019 election not because of their popularity but due to internal wranglings within the PDP which forced many of their party supporters and stakeholders who felt aggrieved and work against the party.
He however affirmed that the party is now united and is working together to wrest power from the current government in two years time.
All the local governments party Chairmen were present at the meeting except that of Kaltungo, Mr. Kalala who was unavoidable absent.
