The New Nigeria People’s Party, (NNPP) governorship candidate in Gombe State, Khamisu Ahmad Mailantarki has expressed sadness over the demise of the Emir of Funakaye, Alhaji Muazu Kwairanga (III), who died last Saturday in Bajoga, Gombe State.
Mailantarki in his condolence message said he received the devastating news that plunged him into a sad mood of sober reflection.
In his words, “This loss is a great vacuum created in the traditional institution of our dear state, but we are confident that his contribution to the development of our dear state in the very little period he spent on the throne will live on even after his demise.
“The late Emir was not only a responsible father to all of us, but a link between the last and the present generation of our traditional leadership. He had served as a bridge between the two generations which made his contributions to our developmental efforts very unique.”
Extending his condolences to the family of the late emir and people of Gombe state, he prayed that Almighty Allah will admit him in Jannatul Firdausi.
“On behalf of myself, my family and my supporters, I wish to call on our people, especially those in Funakaye Emirate, to consider this loss as an act of God which is bound to happen to each and every one of us.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace in Jannat-al- fiddaus.”
