Gombe Kicks Off Fifth Round of Routine Immunization to Protect Children Under Five

Gombe State Primary Healthcare Board has launched the fifth round of routine immunization for the year especially children under the age of five.
At the launch, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Habu Dahiru, urged traditional rulers to monitor the immunization activities with the goal of eradicating diseases affecting the people of Gombe State.
In his opening remarks, the Chairman of Gombe Local Government Area, Barrister Sani Haruna, called on all stakeholders within the community to ensure the success of the immunization campaign, emphasizing its role as a preventive measure against diseases that threaten societal development.
The World Health Organization (WHO) representative in Gombe State, Dr. Faruk, assured that the organization would do everything possible to provide the necessary support to ensure access to quality healthcare for the people of Gombe and its surroundings.
The Mai Kaltungo, Engineer Sale Muhammad, commended the Gombe State Government for its commitment to public health.
He urged parents to ensure their children receive routine immunizations, stressing that the vaccines are safe and pose no harm to public health.
