Ganduje Leads Condolence Visit To Yobe Over Boko Haram Attack
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by National Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, visited Damaturu, Yobe State, to commiserate with the government and people over the recent Boko Haram attack on Mafa village.
According to Mamman Mohammed, Director General Press and Media Affairs to the governor of Yobe State Mai Mala Buni, the NWC’s visit was a show of solidarity with the state during a difficult time.
He qouted Ganduje as saying “We are part of the Yobe family, we feel the pain and sorrow suffered by the government and people of Yobe state, and we are here to condole with our brothers and sisters over this very sad incident”.
The APC National Chairman called on the government and security agencies to strengthen their synergy to effectively fight the menace.
He consoled the families of the victims, expressing optimism that the state would soon come out of it by the special grace of God.
Responding, Governor Mai Mala Buni commended the NWC for identifying with the government and people of the state, saying the visit gave them a sense of belonging.
He assured the cooperation of his administration for improved synergy with security agencies and pledged support for the army, police, and other security organizations to beef up security across the state.
