The Naufal Ahmad Foundation has distributed food items to 500 households in Katsina State.
The initiative, led by Naufal Ahmad, Director General of Katsina Information and Communications Technology (KATDICT), aimed to provide relief to less privileged families, ensuring they have essential supplies for fasting.
The food distribution, which took place in Katsina, drew the commendation of Governor Malam Dikko Radda, who lauded the foundation’s efforts in supporting the needy.
“It is truly commendable that young people are taking responsibility for assisting the less privileged in our communities,” Governor Radda said.
The Governor emphasized the importance of sharing, encouraging beneficiaries to extend goodwill to neighbours who may not have received direct support.
“I urge the beneficiaries to share with those who may not have been reached. This will foster love, unity, and our collective commitment to acts of worship and service to humanity,” he added.
Governor Radda expressed particular satisfaction with the foundation’s focus on women beneficiaries, stressing their pivotal role in society.
“When women receive help, they uplift their families and ensure that children and other dependents are well taken care of. Supporting women is, therefore, a direct way of strengthening our communities,” he noted.
He also commended the dedication of Naufal Ahmad and the organizing team, acknowledging their commitment to humanitarian service.
“I sincerely commend Naufal Ahmad and the committee members for their dedication to this noble cause. Your efforts, though starting small, are growing steadily, and with Allah’s blessings, they will continue to flourish,” the Governor remarked.
Speaking at the event, the founder of the foundation, Ahmad, credited his inspiration to Governor Radda’s dedication to humanitarian service.
“This Ramadan package is a reflection of the lessons I have learned from the Governor, who has shown unwavering commitment to serving humanity,” Ahmad stated.
The event also featured a sermon by Sheikh Yakubu Musa Hassan, a member of the National Trustees of JIBWIS, who emphasized the spiritual significance of charity during Ramadan.
“Providing food support to the needy during this sacred month brings immense blessings from Allah. I encourage leaders to emulate this act of kindness,” the cleric said.
