Former Taraba NLC Chairman Kataps is Dead

Jonah Kataps, a former Chairman of the Nigerian Labour Council (NLC), in Taraba State, has died his family said on Monday.
Mr Kataps died at the State Specialist hospital in Jalingo after a protracted illness on Monday morning.
In a Facebook statement released by his younger brother, Timothy Kataps, said “With heavy hearts and in total submission to The Will of God, we announce the passing of our dear brother, father, uncle, grandfather. Com. (Dr.) Jonah J. Kataps, Njel Bo Bang).
The junior Kataps who is the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS) added that, “his untimely departure occurred in the early hours of today, 25th November 2024, in The Specialist Hospital Jalingo after a protracted illness.
“Details regarding the burial arrangements will be decided and announced in due course,” he said.
While as a teacher, he served as chairman of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), in the state.
He was appointed chairman of the state local government service commission, after retirement by former Governor Darius Ishaku.
