Former President Buhari Commiserates With Jigawa Over Majiya Tanker Explosion, Donates N10 Million to Victims

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has paid a condolence visit to Jigawa State over over the Majiya tanker explosion donating N10 million to assist victims and their families.
Upon arrival Tuesday, former President Buhari visited the Rasheed Shekoni Specialist Hospital in Dutse and consoled patients receiving treatment.
He expressed sadness over the loss of lives and offered words of encouragement to those recovering.
Receiving the former President, the Acting Governor, Aminu Usman Gumel thanked Buhari for the visit and the donation assuring the funds would be used judiciously.
Gumel also praised former President Buhari’s leadership and empathy, saying, “Your visit has brought hope and solace to our people in this difficult time.”
He assured that the state government would work tirelessly to prevent similar tragedies.
Notable figures that accompanied ex-President Buhari, include former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, former Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Ali Pantami and former SGF, Boss Mustapha among others.
Recalled that the recent Majiya tanker inferno claimed over 182 lives and left many injured.
