A former commissioner in the administration of a former governor of Gombe State Ibrahim Dankwambo Bakura M. Bajoga has resigned his membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Bajoga who is a chieftain of the party tendered his resignation letter on Thursday to the secretariat of the party in Bajoga west ward of Funakaye local government area of the state.
In the letter, the former commissioner claimed that he had been a member of the party since 1999.
“With due honour and respect, I wish to write and tender my resignation from the fold of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and also express my sincere gratitude for the opportunities enjoyed from 1999 to date under the platform of this great party”. He stated in the letter.
Our correspondent reports that Bajoga’s resignation was coming the same time the immediate past PDP women leader of the state Mole Istifanus Bennett also defected from the party.
