The Chairman Ekiti Sports Council, Mrs Olusola Osetoba, has lauded the recent inclusion of two young promising football players from the state, to the national teams.
Osetoba applauded the invitation of former Ekiti United Football Club Captain, Babatunde Bello to the Super Eagles and the feat attained by former Ekiti United player, Tolulope Ojo to the Flying Eagles.
The sports council boss made the commendation while addressing newsmen on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti.
She said the development was an indication that the future was bright for up-coming footballers in the state.
Osetoba said her joy knew no bounds that the jinx had been finally broken as Bello became the first Ekiti born and bred son to be invited to the senior national team.
He expressed optimism that the former Fountain Youth Sports Club player would excel, having proved to be a role model and a worthy future leader since he was a young lad.
She also urged fast rising Remo Stars player, Tolulope Ojo to keep up the great job in football that gave him the privilege to be considered for the Flying Eagles squad.
Osetoba also commended the Ekiti Football Association (FA) led by Mr Bayo Olanlege, who nurtured the two players from very young ages and mentored them morally and professionally until they found greener pastures to ply their football trade.
She promised to always be supportive to the ideals of football development programmes of the football association, to harness the various hidden football potentials in the state.
