As muslims celebrate eid-el Kabir today, governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has charged the state citizens to use the period of the sacrifice and acts of worship to pray Allah to grant the state sustainable peace and abundant rainfall.
It is observed that although the month of July is about to end, it was not raining regularly in the state just as many farmers were yet to plant their crops despite the fact that the state government had already launched the 2021 farming season and sales of fertilizer.
The governor gave this charge in a press release issued by his Special Adviser on media and publicity Mukhtar Gidado Monday night felicitating with the state citizens on the sallah festival.
“We should pray for the prevailing peace in the state to be sustained and for adequate rainfall for us to have a bumper harvest during this farming season.
“Let me use this opportunity to reiterate our administration’s commitment to continue to serve the good people of Bauchi state to take the state to greater heights.
“As you can see, we are making our modest efforts in infrastructural development, education, health, youth empowerment and agriculture which I believe are critical to the development of our dear State. We will continue to pursue developmental projects which have direct bearings on the lives of our people”. He said.
The governor also appealed to motorists to observe traffic regulations in order to reduce accidents throughout the period of eid-el-kabir celebration and parents to monitor of the movement children to reduce the incidents of missing children during the festivity.
