Senator representing Gombe Central at the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly, Sen. Danjuma Goje, has rejoiced with Nigerians, particularly the Muslim faithfuls on the occasion of the Sallah celebration.
While wishing Nigerian Muslims safe and happy Eld-El-Kabir, Goje urged them to celebrate the Sallah in conformity with COVID-19 safety protocols.
This is in a statement signed by Goje’s Media Aide Lilian Nworie and made available to newsmen on Friday morning, the former Governor also enjoined Muslims to seize the blessings of the season and pray fervently for the progress of Nigerians and Nigeria.
“As Nigerians join the rest of the world to celebrate the 2020 Eid-El- Kabir faithfully, my heart rejoices with you. I wish you to have more fulfilling years in store for you, and may Allah provide for all of your needs forever.
“On this Eid-el-Kabir, may the peace of Allah abide with you, may His glory overwhelm, his favour, grace and mercy never depart from our life, now and forever.”
While praying that may Allah flood Nigerians at this season with life full of happiness, mind with wisdom and heart with love, the Sen. also urged Nigerians to embrace one another and shun any form of discrimination amongst themselves.
Goje who is the Chairman of the North-east caucus in the National Assembly, has lauded the courage of Nigerians in the fight against COVID-19, commended them for their support and cooperation with President Muhammadu Buhari led government in his steps to curtail the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
