Eid-el-Fitr: President Tinubu Urged To Sustain Peaceful Coexistence

A Senior Cultural Officer with the Benue State Ministry of Information and Cultural Orientation, and member, Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace member, Rev. Dr. Jesse Doose Tsekeh has called on President Bola Tinubu to plan, promote and sustain peaceful coexistence amongst Nigerians as Muslims mark the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
He also tasked Vice President Kassim Shetima and the Council of State to do same.
Rev. Dr. Tsekeh who of the Universal Reformed Christian Church, (NKST), extended his heartfelt congratulations to Muslims celebrating the end of Ramadan and spiritual reflection.
He stated this on Sunday at the sidelines of the NKST Church, Yina Makurdi Monthly Bible Study and Holy Communion Conference.
As the world greatest religions-Christianity and Islam-mark the fasting and celebrations of Eid-el-Fitr and Easter, Dr. Tsekeh called on President Tinubu and Nigerians to embrace the core values of love, forgiveness, and peace.
He stressed the importance of love, forgiveness and solidarity as key in fostering a more peaceful society.
He praised President Tinubu for his development initiatives in improving the lives of citizens especially the approval of the North Central Development Commission and the N18billion Gboko/Buruku Water Works.
He also commended Benue Governor, Rev. Father Hyacinth Alia’s initiatives of breaking fast with the Muslim community in the state.
