As Muslims all over the world celebrate the end of Ramadan, a former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, has congratulated the faithful on the successful completion of the religious obligation.
Edu, who congratulated the Muslim faithful, Sunday, in a statement made available to journalists in Calabar, Cross River State capital, also enjoined them to welcome the month of Shawwal with open hearts.
“I also bring all the Muslim Ummah during this festivities a message of peace, love, and unity of purpose,” she said.
The former National Woman Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), noted that Eid el-Fitr is a time for spiritual rejuvenation, reflection, and celebration with loved ones.
Edu, therefore, called on everyone in the faith to continue the spirit of Ramadan, which emphasizes compassion, forgiveness, generosity, care and kindness.
She further appealed to them to support President Bola Tinubu in making the country a better place for all to live in.
“Let us join President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his reform agenda to make Nigeria a better place, filled with love, peace, harmony, and stable economic growth,” the former Minister advised, while wishing them a blessed and joyful Eid el-Fitr celebration.
