Dr Muhammad Salah hails tricyclist Who Returns N13M To Owner In Kano
A prominent Islamic Scholar, Dr Muhammad Salah has commended the Keke Rider in Kano State, Auwalu Salisu who returned N13 million forgotten by one of his passengers.
The boy, discovered the money after the passenger had disembarked from his Tricycle (Keke NAPEP) last Thursday.
When he took the money home, his parents including his uncle helped in the search for the owner who was not found.
As good Muslims despite being poor and living from hand to mouth, they decided to keep the money at home until they hear any announcement about the missing money.
Luckily for them, an announcement was made on a local FM station in the city of Kano called Arewa Radio and the boy called the number given for contact.
A meeting was arranged where he met the owner, a Chadian at the Radio Station.
After an emotional exchange of pleasantries and narration of how it all happened, the boy was given a reward of N400,000 by the owner and commended him and his family for their honesty.
Dr Muhammad Salah took to his Social Media page to commend the boy and the family for being good Muslims and a good example.
The post reads, “This boy is a Keke rider in Kano state, Northern Nigeria. He found some money left by a Chadian business man & his friend he took to a market, to the tune of ₦13 Million naira (both the CFA and Naira). He took the money home & consulted his mother. She asked him to wait for his father .
“The father & uncle took him to search for the owner where he dropped it, but they didn’t find the owners. The next day, he heard a Lost & Found announcement in Arewa Radio Station Kano, and he picked the contact number .The owner asked for his location to collect the money but he insisted they both meet at the radio station that made the announcement .
“The amazing part about this story is the fact that this boy comes from a home that is financially very poor, but morally one of the richest you can ever find today anywhere in the world.
