Disquiet Over Structural Damage At Historic Primary School In Gombe

Residents of Jeka da Fari community in Gombe metropolis have expressed concern over the structural damage at the historic Jan Kai Primary School.
According to Sani Yakubu Gombe, a resident and old boy of the school, the institution has been neglected and left to deteriorate despite its rich history and contributions to the state.
“The school has produced many influential and accomplished individuals in Gombe, yet it has been abandoned and left without renovation or maintenance,” he lamented.
He urged the government to take immediate action to restore the school to its former glory, citing its historic significance and importance to the community.
“It is unfortunate that stakeholders and government have neglected this iconic institution, while its alumni look on without taking action,” he complained.
The community is calling on the authorities to intervene and save the school from further decay.
