Deputy Speaker Kalu Celebrates Boss Mustapha at 68
The Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has congratulated the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Gidahyelda Mustapha as he celebrates his 68th birthday on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
In a statement on Tuesday signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Levinus Nwabughiogu, the Deputy Speaker commended the former SGF’s dedication and remarkable contributions to the development of Nigeria through quality and impactful leadership, vision, and commitment, stressing that they have been inspiring.
According to him, while in the saddle as SGF, he brought decorum and faith into the public service.
Kalu recalled that, as the Chairman of the defunct Presidential Task Force on COVID 19, Boss Mustapha discharged his responsibility with due diligence.
The Deputy Speaker also lauded Mustapha’s organizational skills, dexterity and spirit of team work displayed at the time, saying they allowed fluidity of ideas.
He noted that against all odds, the former SGF held daily briefings briefings which provided Nigerians with sufficient information on how to safeguard themselves during the challenging period.
Kalu described him as a complete gentleman, adding that his unassuming posture and composure are a lesson in humility.
The Deputy Speaker also recalled Mustapha’s days as a former Managing Director of Nigeria Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), saying that he left indelible marks in the places he has served.
While wishing Boss Mustapha a joyous 68th birthday celebration, Kalu also prayed to God for the blessing of many more years in good health and success in all his endeavours.
