The immediate past Governor of Gombe State Dr. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo OON (Talban Gombe) has on Tuesday visited Zaria to pay condolence over the death of the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris.
Dankwambo arrived in company of the former Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero (Dallatun Zazzau), former Member of House of Representatives, Hon. Ali Isa JC, Amb. Wada Sadiq and his former Special Adviser Media and Publicity, Dahiru Hassan Kera among others.
Dankwambo described the late Emir as a person of proven integrity and a first class traditional ruler who ruled with absolute honesty and fear of Allah.
He added that the death is a huge loss not only to the Zazzau Emirate and Kaduna State, but to the nation at large.
He prayed for Allah to forgive his short comings and grant him Jannatul Firdausi and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
The late Emir died on Sunday and has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
