The reigning Dana Cup 2022 Champions, Mailantarki Football Academy, embarked on another successful International Youth Championship expedition in Norway, two days after lifting the cup in Denmark.
Miko Dalha and Abdul Azeez Maiyadi were once more consistent in doing what they know best, each of them performing spectacles in their first encounter with the Norwegian club sides.
Miko Dalha, who emerged the highest goal scorer of the team with 8 goals in the just concluded Dana Cup, put the Mailantarki lads ahead halfway in the first entertaining half after beating Stord FC shot stopper, Jelly, in his near post.
Another brilliant player in front of goal, Abdulazeez Maiyadi, who netted 7 times in the Dana Cup, also opened his goal-scoring account in the 2-nil triumph following a clever finish beneath the on-rushing goalie, Jelly, after the restart, thanks to Ibrahim Dembele’s through pass from the center.
The expeditious Mailantarki boys will face Skjergard FC in the same venue Ekeberg for their second fixture of the day by 5:45 pm (4:45 pm Nigerian time).
