CONGRESSES: Gombe PDP Appoints AVM Shehu Fura to Head Reconciliation Committee

As part of efforts to unify the party and forestall peace in the aftermath of the state congresses held recently, the Gombe State chapter of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has set up reconciliation committee to be chaired by a former governorship candidate in the state, Air Vice Marshal, Shehu Adamu Fura (rtd).
The committee, according to the state party secretary, Alhaji Adamu H. Abubakar followed outcomes of the last congresses which might have made some members aggrieved.
He said the committee was mandated to study and analyse how the congresses were conducted, identify areas where misunderstanding occurred, identify those involved, come up with the list of the aggrieved members and pacify them.
He added that AVM Fura and other committee members were also charged with the responsibility of identifying all PDP members who defected to other political parties and prevail on them to rejoin, collate all advices from the aggrieved members for future correction and give them assurances that they will be carried along in all party activities.
DAYLIGHT REPORTERS reports that other members of the reconciliation committee are; A.M Zakari, Honourable Adamu Gora Kalba, Alhaji Ali Shariff, Alhaji Umaru Ladan, Honourable Umaru Musa Hinna, Alhaji Tukur Lumbi, Honourable Yusuf Manu Swa and Honourable Amos Mela Fabulous.
