The group under the auspices of the Visionary Young Nigerian Leaders Initiative (VYNLI), has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of running a failed government.
While disclosing its displeasure over the rate of inflation and increase in the tariff of electricity, fuel and other commondities in the country, the group said its becomes pertinent for the group to take over the leadership of the country comes 2023.
Speaking during a conference at the Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna Council on Saturday, the convener of the Youth Arise In Democracy Now, James Makeri explained that the youth are not happy with the situation of the country under the present administration.
” We are calling on all Nigerian youth and women to prepare as we take over the leadership of Nigeria 2023 at all levels,” Makeri.
While also calling on the convener of the ‘Revolution Now’, Mr. Omoyele Sowere to abandon his movement and join the youth in the struggle to take over the leadership of the country.
” We call on all Nigerians at home and in diaspora to support youth and women as we continue in building the indomitable Nigeria of our dream.
” We honestly appreciate some of our past leaders and other international organisation for their willingness to support our collective political aspirations”, Makeri said.
